established in 1998, supports the psychological, mental and moral health of children and adolescents. In 2011, our Foundation is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the national campaign “All of Poland Reads to Kids”. Among our other major activities are: The Astrid Lindgren Literary Competition, the "Teaching Values" program, Family Reading Portal, "Generations-Creations" project.
So far, within the national campaign „All of Poland Reads to Kids” and educational programs we have managed to:
convince approximately 40 percent of parents to read to their young children
conduct more than 100 conferences, trainings and workshops on wise education
have encouraged 6300 individuals to become Coordinators and Leaders of the reading campaign and who aim to promote wise education
encourage 2300 kindergartens and 2400 schools to introduce daily reading to children
develop the Teaching Values Program, supported by the website www.TakWartoŻyc.pl
initiate programs „Reading Brings Closer” integrating healthy and disabled children in the whole country
implement the program „Reading Heals” - reading to children in hospitals, hospices, sanatoriums
produce the educational films „Educating by Reading” and „How to Love a Child?”
write and publish two books ”Guiding a Child into the World of Values” and ”Educating by Reading”
conduct post-graduate studies for teachers „Reading as a method of development and education”
conduct the project „Generations-Creations” in four towns culturally activating and integrating children from orphanages and seniors from universities of the third age
conduct training for mothers in prisons with small children
inititate reading to children in many hospitals and hospices
issue jointly with „Polityka” weekly the collection of books „All of Poland Reads to Kids”
conduct two editions of the Astrid Lindgren Literary Competition for Contemporary Books for Children and adolescents with the motto: “We are looking for Polish authors who could match Astrid Lindgren’s standards”
